Among the first ones in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Aluminij received its certification for Quality Management System, complying with ISO 9001 standards. At the end of 1998 Aluminij implemented Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:1994. By the end of 2003, Aluminiji implemented the efficient Environment Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14000. Our system has been re certified in accordance to ISO regulations. Aluminij currently holds the latest ISO certifications for environmental protection and quality management ISO 14:0001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015.

When it comes to environmental awareness and sustainability, Aluminij did not stop at ISO standards alone. Enrolling our organizations in other programmes and memberships we constantly seek improvement and adaptation for efficiency in our work. Due to our geographical position, we strive to be a respectable part of the European aluminium industry, that is why we put our efforts in becoming a member of the European Aluminum (recycling division), who based in Brussels, is the voice of the aluminium industry in Europe. European Aluminium promotes the use of aluminium as a material with permanent properties that is part of the solution to achieving sustainable goals, while maintaining and improving the image of the industry, of the material and of its applications among their stakeholders.

We can proudly state that we are owners of EECS certificate Guarantee of origin (GOO). Working towards reducing carbon emissions, and renewable energy is a direction we decided to take in our future operations. As a proud member of ASI – Aluminium Stewardship Initiative we oblige to maximise our contribution of aluminium to a sustainable society, together with producers, users and all stakeholders in the aluminium value chain. ASI Performance standard covers 11 environmental, social and governance principles and criteria across the aluminium lifecycle covering numerous countries and continents across the globe.
